OJV 2025, Donation handover, Veszprém
The venue of our biggest handover this year was the Csolnoky Ferenc Hospital, although in addition to the county donation, the national donation deed was also handed over.
The National Charitable Hunting Public Nonprofit Kft. donated HUF 43.1 million for the development of Hungarian healthcare equipment, which we will hand over to 22 hospitals. Our donation deed was received by Péter Takács, the State Secretary for Health at the Ministry of the Interior. The State Secretary thanked the Hungarian hunters for their responsible thinking and described their selflessness as an excellent national example.
Our county donation to the Csolnoky Hospital was also handed over, which was a phototherapy device this time, worth 3.5 million HUF. The Veszprém children's ward has been enriched with medical equipment worth 12.0 million HUF since the start of the charity hunt. It was touching to hear from Dr. Tamás Tenk, the head physician, that during his last on-call time, all of the OJV equipment was “in operation” except for one…
Our donation was also unusual in that the auction buyer was given a unique vase offered and manufactured by Herend Porcelain Manufactory Zrt., which had forest motifs and the logo of the National Charity Hunt and the National Chamber of Agriculture. It is a unique piece and has an amazingly beautiful design. We owe a huge thank you to Dr. Attila Simon, CEO, for the partnership and we thank the customer with great respect for his generosity.
The list of thanks is long! We owe a big thank you to Zoltán Majer, who is the strategic partner of OJV Veszprém County and “goes over the wall” when it comes to OJV. We feel an inexpressible respect for our Hungarian friends from the Highlands, who are brought to Veszprém every year by the desire to help on December 27th. We thank Ákos Ugron, CEO, and Verga Zrt. for their greatness.
Last but not least, we would like to thank the selflessness of those fellow hunters and supporters who stood with us, for whom it was important to provide real help, who voted for our program because of transparency and the traceability of donations!
