“ Hunting as a national value

Few initiatives have been born among Hungarian hunters in recent years that have left such a deep mark on civil society as the National Charity Hunt (OJV).
Charitable cooperation, supporting those in need is not just a stage or a PR stunt, but a necessity and a national duty, serving the common good.

The relationship between a hunter and nature is a special mystery, the heart of the forest beats in every true hunter, and anyone who understands this knows exactly that the hunter is not against nature, but is an integral part of it - says László Fejes, managing director of OJV NP Kft. -Something very similar to this connection This is also true for the relationship between the citizen, in this case the hunter, and the nation. The heart of the nation is embodied by every single person, whether a hunter or not.

We Hungarians have never been indifferent to each other, which is why our nation has been able to survive and function for a thousand years. However, for this to remain so, responsible thinking alone is not enough, we must act - he emphasizes and adds: the OJV is the symbol of this active idea, since its focus is on the future generation.
On those children who are the most vulnerable, and who often cannot even describe their pain and complaints. Caring for them is not an optional option, but a national obligation, after all, every Hungarian is responsible for every Hungarian.

According to the expert, there is no alternative to cooperation. It turned out to be a good decision that the OJV institution was implemented as an independent entity, so decision-making was not complicated by bureaucratic procedures or other interests. The project affecting all counties The establishment of strategic partnerships and the invitation of 16 committed ambassadors gave the program a truly national framework. A framework in which ordinary people are in the majority, but selected athletes, public figures and Olympic champions also proudly stand by them. Our supporters are very diverse, but something inextricably connects this community, responsible national thinking and the clear motto that even one sick child is too many.

In today's world, the power of the media is unquestionable. The continuous, countless interest of the national press is a clear message that the achieved results cannot be ignored. The program has grown into the most media-worthy, most positive topic of domestic hunting public life, which also improves the social perception of the hunting community. Moreover, national thinking does not stop at the Trianon borders, as the Upper Carpathians, Transylvania, Transcarpathia and Vojvodina are just as important target areas as Fejér or Vas county - László Fejes points out.

Behind the OJV are results and numbers that speak for themselves. Since the program's launch in 2013, the initiative has put the following balance on the table:

• Full cooperation of 19 counties,
• 306 million forints collected in donations,
• 558 pieces of innovative medical equipment purchased,
• Direct support for 27 hospitals in Hungary,
• Helping more than 660,000 sick children recover with the purchased equipment,
• 149 ceremonial hospital equipment handovers held with media coverage.

There is enormous logistics, a lot of work, a lot of sacrificed free time and countless big hearts behind these 149 events, but if someone has participated in even one such hospital handover and seen the faces of the doctors, or even the look of a healed child, they know that every sacrifice was worth it - continues the CEO, who adds: let us all be proud, who were part of this collaboration in any way! We have created a value that goes far beyond hunting.
