OJV 2023 Békés Vármegyei donation transfer, Gyula
The donation ceremony of the 2023 National Charity Hunt started the week in Békés county. It is a special location, as our collaboration supports two institutions.
Our partner in Békéscsaba since years is the institution named after Pál Réthy. What is new is that this time we are also donating to the Kálmán Pándy nursing home in Gyula. It happened that the Gyula-based Pejrét Hunting Association wanted to be associated with the charity hunt, with the result of their activity helping the children's ward of the local hospital. We were happy to receive your inquiry and support the request. We ourselves think that the local patriotic approach will move the program forward.
Given that the two institutions belong to the same management, we held our donation ceremony in Gyula.
For Békéscsaba, the specialists asked for 1 blood sugar level analyzer (this will save the children quite a few venous blood draws!) while for Gyula, 1 video-otoscope system with its accessories was needed. So we did that.
In the case of Békéscsaba, the value of the donation was HUF 854,615, while the volume in Gyula was HUF 647,956. With this, we were able to spend HUF 5,159,804 on the healing of the county's children, with which we contributed to the fast and modern treatment of more than 22 thousand local children over the years.
Our county team, of whom we are infinitely proud, is becoming more and more important. The Turúl Hunting Association of Nagybánhegyes has been our strategic partner for years, just as the Petőfi Vt in Kiskőrös has been the location of the charity hunt for years. In 2023, the Pejrét Vt. was also connected for the first time, so there was also a hunt in Gyula on December 27.
Dr. László Becsei, the director general of the institutions, said that it was a great pleasure for us when we were informed that the Pándy member hospital will also benefit from the donations this year, and he also asked the hunters there to convey their thanks to everyone who in some way contributed to the success.
We are grateful to Noémi Hernádi, whose activity creates a foundation for success.
We express our sincere thanks to each of the 3 hunting companies and to the good-natured hunters of Békés County!
The representatives of the hunting companies present promised the doctors that in '24 they would double the result of '23...
