The description of our hunting partner Bálint Baross is below. Two words from us: Thank you and congratulations!!!
"If it weren't for the National Charity Hunt, I wouldn't be able to report on one of the most wonderful wildlife experiences of my life today...
The story began when an offer was received last year from a person entitled to hunt, which the non-profit organization put up for auction in order to increase the amount of the donation.
The offer was the possibility of dropping a 6-kg antler weight bull in a roar, for which I made the highest offer.
During the summer, we already discussed with the professional hunter several times, and after the vacation I received specific information about the bulls.
We tried for the first time at dawn on September 9th, it was a busy morning, because out of 11 detected bulls, we found 3 shootable ones in the high growth sorghum. However, due to the distance, we were left only with sight and observation.
The next occasion was on September 11, also at dawn. After an early arrival, we plowed into the sorghum, which reached 4m high, near the site on Saturday.
While reaching the right ambush site, we heard a roar from the east, but unfortunately our wind was not the most favorable.
There was traffic at the boogie board. After waiting for cows and side bulls, the awaited bull circled us almost silently like a shadow sliding behind the ambush.
According to sound, his last detected position was in the direction of 7 o'clock from the ambush. Silence after that. Then, after approximately 45 minutes, I looked in the direction of 11 o'clock from the ambush site, "...get ready...". He stopped behind the sorghum and looked around suspiciously. I got the shooting license almost immediately! In the short time, I tried to find the best position and dragged the key. The shoulder blade was covered a little by the sorghum, but I tried to get the bullet to the best place. Impact! Then, during his death throes, he went around the sorghum and lay down in the sorghum. The exact location was indicated by the sorghum that suddenly moved and then calmed down.
Hunting fever, trembling hands and everything reached its peak, but we had to think soberly and wait. After waiting for approximately 25 minutes, we set off to follow him and after 150m we were able to take possession of the game Diána had ordered for us. In all probability, his weight will avoid 7 kg, and his age 11-12 years. A bronze medal is expected.
I am a participant of the charity program year after year, thereby contributing to the healing of sick children.
Even when bidding on the game of gímbika, I thought that I could do good for many people and I also hoped that I would become richer myself with a nice hunting experience.
That's exactly what happened. First, spiritual wealth by donating, and secondly, an unforgettable dawn and an amazing trophy by dropping!
Thanks to the Eligible for Hunting and my professional escort for the selfless offer!
Whoever gives, gets back...
Come on OJV!
Other points of interest:
The rifle used in the shooting was a 7x57R / 16-70 caliber bock-bush hunting gun with a tilting barrel made in 1953 by gunsmith Peter Mischitz - Ferlach.
In recent years, I have hunted almost exclusively with this weapon, and it was my dream to kill a bucking bull with this patinated weapon. My dream came true and thus the Hungarian BIG 5 with a 70-year-old hunting weapon. The last of these, our most noble game, is the Gím bull. "
