OJV 2023 Fejér Vármegyei transfer, in Székesfehérvár
OJV JUBILEE! 100th hospital donation giver! The National Charity Hunt has arrived for a jubilee event.
On the 100th occasion, the charity program was able to hand over its current donation to a beneficiary institution, namely the Szent György Hospital in Fejér County, in Székesfehérvár.
It is the 11th year that the county's hunters have appeared in the central hospital of the county seat - in the spring of every year - to hand over medical equipment. Altruism, love, social responsibility and conviction on the part of the donors are unchanged, what changes is the value of the donation and the type of assets acquired. This is how we got to the point where HUF 49.6 million went to the children's department in Székesfehérvár through the charity hunts. The 38 medical devices that have been donated over the years have cured more than 10,000 children in Fejér County to this day.
The value of our donation this year was HUF 6,783,499.
Our transferred tools:
1 volumetric infusion pump
1 infant hearing test device
1 blood and infusion warmer
1 holter recorder
For years, the county hunters have been the biggest supporters of the children's class!!! No one (except for the budget body) has given us a larger volume of support!
It is a fact that our involvement affects a very wide range of people. Even though we only focus on cured children, it is also worth noting that with our donations we also make the work of healthcare workers easier and more efficient, as an innovative tool increases patient safety and shortens treatment time. In this way, our help also has a direct effect on the families, as healing and peace return to them sooner. The Hungarian State is also the beneficiary of our selfless act for two reasons. On the one hand, the state no longer has to buy the tool whose procurement was created. On the other hand, it doesn't matter whether the parent on sick leave costs the state money or can return to the world of work more quickly and generate tax HUF.
Every forint donated by the National Charity Hunt for the treatment of sick children acts as a catalyst.
Befitting a festive event, this time we also prepared an OJV cake, which, as the highlight of the celebration, we ate together with doctors, nurses, members of the media and, last but not least, our fellow hunters who were there, just as is customary in a family. The OJV family is no exception.
It was a huge honor for us that Zita Szondi, Deputy Director General of the National Hospital General Directorate, accepted our invitation to the anniversary celebration, who said in her welcome that the volume of our program's donation is a factor in healthcare! He called the value system represented by hunters in Hungary outstanding.
Among us was Dr. Attila Kovács, the current director general of the institution, who called the 11th year support a miracle. On behalf of the children's department, the head physician, Dr. Andrea Kálmán, thanked those present and told the audience that he had personally participated in the charity hunt in Kápolnásnyék on December 27.
The manager and employee of the OJV hospital has already become a hunter, but several people have also joined our hunts across the country as companions, thus further deepening the excellent relationship between hunters and health professionals.
József Schmidt, strategic partner of OJV Fejér County, thanked the hunters of Fejér County and our supporters, highlighting the managing director of Metal-for Kft.
There was a touching moment of the ceremony, when Benedek Buda Schmidt - who is the face of the children's charity hunt - handed over a wonderfully beautiful woven decorative object, a forest gnome's house, to Dr. Andrea Kálmán, chief physician, with the message that they should place it at the department's reception desk so that as soon as possible more people will see it and he hopes that the sight will bring a smile to the faces of sick children.
We know and believe that whoever saves a life saves a world! However, the 389 healing devices we have handed over so far are a kind of contribution to saving both life and the world. Contribution of Hungarian hunters.
